Kern County Raceway Park has delayed its opening for a second time, moving from April 20 to May 4 and now to May 18. Track officials announced the revised schedule Wednesday.

New Raceway complex given green light to build

NASCAR racing is coming back to Kern County. The County Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit that allows a new raceway to be built west of Bakersfield at Interstate Five and Enos Lane. Groundbreaking could begin before the end of the year.
