A winter-weather system came through the area late Thursday and much of the day Friday, prompting the temporary closure of the Grapevine and Highway 58, delaying school starts and giving mountain residents a snowy white yard.
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Interstate 5 is now closed over the Grapevine due to ice and snow. Northbound is closed at Parker Road and Southbound at Grapevine Road. There is no estimated time for the freeway to re-open.
