A third man has been charged with murdering Patrick Matsuda. Brian Martin Thompson, 20, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Friday. He joins Michael Lee Taylor and Blayne Allen Clifford as defendants in the case.
The second defendant in the beating death of 40-year-old Patrick Matsuda made his court debut Thursday. Michael Lee Taylor, 23, pleaded not guilty to a first-degree murder charge in Kern County Superior Court.

Blayne Allen Clifford made his court debut Tuesday, accused of beating 40-year-old Patrick Matsuda to death during a weekend party. While Clifford was leaving court, his alleged accomplice turned himself in to police.
