Two families are waiting to see if a stray dog that bit their children has any diseases. The stray had been spotted last week, but animal control officers couldn't find it. Monday it attacked two girls when they got off the school bus.

A group of volunteer dog rescuers on Monday made their way to Bakersfield to try and find the people responsible for abusing two puppies and leaving them to die in a field. The puppies were found in an area near Pioneer and Monica streets.
